Glendale Commons Dedication

A Milestone in the Efforts to End Homelessness in Our Community – Glendale Commons ExpansionRibbon Cutting Guests

On Thursday, June 30, the Phoenix Community Development Services (Phoenix CDS) held a dedication ceremony and ribbon cutting to celebrate the expansion of its Glendale Commons permanent supportive housing at the corner of  Morgan Street and NE Glendale Avenue in Peoria.  The expansion project includes two additional duplex units that will serve homeless families and a 14 unit apartment building that will provide housing for homeless individuals and couples with a disabling condition.   This development increases the existing units of housing at the site from 12 to 28 and provides the first housing units specifically developed to serve homeless couples.  The celebration included a dedication ceremony with remarks by key stakeholders in the project, a ribbon cutting with the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce and an open house.
